Dr. Sebi is a well-known expert with many teaching classes about health and nutrition. His speeches are based on the alkaline type of eating accompanied by high mineral and vitamin intake in the body.

According to Dr. Sebi, soybeans are not produced for human consumption; its original purpose was for the making of plastic and fabric materials. So, he says eating soybeans will deplete your iron reserves.
From a scientific point of view, there is a correlation with the learnings of Dr. Sebi. Soybeans are a great source of sulfites. Exposure to sulfites has been reported to cause a range of adverse effects in individuals. Effects range from dermatitis, urticaria, flushing, hypotension, abdominal pain, and diarrhea to life-threatening anaphylactic and asthmatic reactions.
Who Should Avoid Eating Soy?
Soy isoflavones are chemicals found in soy that bind to estrogen receptors in the body and cause either weak hormonal activity. The two soy isoflavones are called genistein and daidzein.
Therefore everyone should avoid eating soy, including all women, nursing or breastfeeding mothers as well as the elderly and children.
Women especially should take great care to limit or avoid the ingestion of soy and its derivatives – especially in the postmenopausal period when hormonal imbalance is at peak.

Is Soy toxic?
Soy is a hybrid plant. It is widely genetically modified and it is estimated that approximately 90% of the soybeans on the market in the United States are genetically modified (GM).
Yet, there is no strong scientific research that soy is toxic but for the aforementioned reasons, it should be excluded from the diet.
Why is Soy toxic?
Eating soy is connected with the inhibition of Trypsin. Trypsin is a digestive enzyme that breaks down proteins in the small intestine, secreted by the pancreas as trypsinogen. It helps in the process of acid neutralization.
Soy protein isolate is incredibly harmful to humans. It can cause cancer twice as fast as cow’s milk. Soy protein is mostly found in imitation/fake foods and other processed foods.
The female and male body consists of several different hormones. Females have estrogens that help them to produce less hair, maintain normal menstrual cycles, and reproduction. Men have testosterone that helps with beard, hair, and muscle development.
When soy products are ingested into the body, there tends to be a confusion in the hormonal production and balance. This causes an imbalance in the estrogen and testosterone levels of both men and women.

Does Soy Raise Estrogen Levels?
Soy is a grain that has a naturally high content of genistein – a type of estrogen that is found in the food form.
Therefore, if dietary estrogens are influence hormonal estrogens at low doses, one would predict that they stimulate the estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer cells. This could lead to a whole lot of detrimental effects including cancer.
