A lot of people have asked me “Is broccoli alkaline?“, “Is broccoli safe to eat?” and it’s okay to be concerned about this. To answer it, we need to first understand what an alkaline diet is.

The alkaline diet is based on the premise that our bodies function best when we eat foods that are close to their natural state, which is the alkaline state. This means eating lots of naturally occurring fruits and vegetables, as well as avoiding animal products, processed foods, sugar, and alcohol.

So, going back to the question, broccoli is acidic according to Dr. Sebi.

According to Dr. Sebi, broccoli is a man made vegetable, whose molecular structure has been unnaturally tampered with (through the process of cross-breeding). As such broccoli offers no natural health benefits and should be avoided.

An alkaline diet is important for good health, since too much acidity in the body can lead to disease.

So, yes, Broccoli is an acidic, hybrid, man made vegetable.

Is Eating Broccoli healthy?

Most people think that eating broccoli is good for you, however, there are some downsides to broccoli that you may not be aware of. For instance, broccoli contains a compound called sulfurophane, which can interfere with the absorption of certain medications. In addition, broccoli is a member of the cruciferous family of vegetables, which means it contains goitrogens. These compounds can interfere with thyroid function, so if you have a thyroid condition, you should avoid broccoli.

Finally, some people are sensitive to broccoli’s sulfur content, which can cause gas and bloating.

Does Broccoli release toxins?

Broccoli contains anti-nutrients, natural plant toxins that help fend off predators, such as glucosinolates, sulforaphane and oxalates.

Does Broccoli have Chemicals?

Did you know that broccoli is loaded with chemicals such as formaldehyde? Formaldehyde is a natural by-product of oxidation, and it’s been linked to cancer in rats.

While there’s no direct evidence that formaldehyde causes cancer in humans, some experts believe that it could be a contributing factor.

However, it’s important to understand that all plants contain chemicals. In fact, it’s the chemicals in plants that give them their unique flavor, smell, and color. While some of these chemicals can be harmful if consumed in large quantities, most are perfectly safe to eat.

In broccoli, the main chemical of concern is called sulforaphane. This compound has shown promise in helping to prevent certain cancers. However, it’s still unclear whether sulforaphane is present in broccoli in high enough quantities to have any real health benefits.

In addition, broccoli does contain some acid-forming chemicals, such as sulfur.

So while there may be some truth to the claim that broccoli contains harmful chemicals, it’s important to keep things in perspective.

Does Broccoli detoxify?

Broccoli is a member of the cruciferous family of vegetables, which also includes cabbage, kale, and Brussels sprouts. These veggies are all high in chlorophyll, which gives them their characteristic green color. Chlorophyll is important for detoxifying the body, and it also has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Why You Should Not Eat Broccoli

We all know that broccoli is touted in the health community to be good for us. That it’s packed with vitamins and minerals, and it’s a great source of fiber. But should we be eating it? Did you know that broccoli can also be bad for you?

Here are a few reasons why you might want to think twice before eating broccoli:

  1. Broccoli is not approved in the Dr. Sebi Nutritional Guide.
  2. Broccoli contains a compound called glucosinolate, which can go into your bloodstream and increase your risk of cancer.
  3. Broccoli is also a high-fiber food, which means it can actually block the absorption of nutrients in your body.
  4. And finally, broccoli contains a substance called sulforaphane, which has been shown to increase the risk of gastrointestinal problems.
  5. Finally, many people have difficulty digesting broccoli due to its high fiber content. So if you’re looking for a healthy way to get your greens, you might want to give broccoli a miss.
  6. Broccoli is high in sulfur, which can give your gas an unpleasant smell.
  7. Broccoli is a member of the cruciferous vegetable family, which also includes cabbage and Brussels sprouts. These veggies are known for causing bloating and indigestion.
  8. Broccoli is one of the most pesticide-laden vegetables.
  9. Raw broccoli can be hard to digest.
  10. Broccoli contains goitrogens, which can interfere with thyroid function.
  11. Some people are sensitive to sulfur compounds in broccoli and other foods, which can cause digestive distress, headaches, and fatigue
  12. Broccoli is fairly high in oxalates, which can increase the risk of kidney stones.

What Happens if You Eat too Much Broccoli?

Eating too much of broccoli can cause some uncomfortable side effects. For instance, broccoli is a member of the cruciferous family of vegetables, which also includes cabbage and Brussels sprouts. These vegetables contain compounds that can sometimes cause bloating and gas.

In addition, broccoli is fairly high in soluble fiber, which can also lead to digestive discomfort if you eat too much of it.

However, it is very difficult to eat too much broccoli. The human stomach can only hold so much, and broccoli is particularly fiber-dense, so you would have to eat an enormous amount of it to reach the point of stomach discomfort.

However, eating too much broccoli can sometimes cause gas and bloating, due to the vegetable’s high fiber content.

Can Broccoli Cause Mental Retardation

According to a recent study, consuming broccoli can lead to protective effects on the brain. The reason for this is that broccoli contains a compound called sulforaphane, which has been shown to improve cognitive function in damaged brain cells.

So, no, Broccoli has has been shown to cause mental retardation. Perhaps more research is needed in this regard in the future.

How Does Broccoli Affect the Brain?

  • Broccoli has been shown to contain contains high levels of vitamin K, which is essential for cognitive function.
  • Broccoli also contains a compound called sulforaphane, which has been shown to improve memory and protect brain cells from damage.
  • In addition, sulforaphane has been shown to increase levels of BDNF, a protein that helps to grow new nerve cells. As a result, eating broccoli may help to improve cognitive function and protect the brain against age-related decline.

So, broccoli might help with brain power, cognitive function and brain regeneration

Final Thoughts

Despite the purported health benefits of broccoli, it is an acidic man made vegetable that is said to be poisonous to humans and detrimental to ur health according to Dr. Sebi. As such alkaline vegans are to stay clear from it and instead incorporate other forms of approved vegetables.

So, if you’re looking to improve your health, focus on eating a variety of other approved vegetables
